Five Incredible Years!

I have been really excited for a long time in anticipation of our five year anniversary. It has been the most amazing years of my life and to be able to share them with my best friend has been beyond wonderful! So I am dedicating this to my man and saying Happy Anniversary!
Dallin and I meet at BYU-Idaho. It is pathetic to say but it really was love at first sight for us. From the first night we talked we spent everyday after together. We immediately became best friends and hated to be apart. We still have this problem today! We have a pretty tuff time being away from one another and spend most of that time calling or texting so we don't miss anything. Dallin and I have always spent most of our time laughing! We have so much fun together. This is a picture from when we were dating we made a gingerbread trailer house. Who would have known the next year we would be married and living in a trailer. We had no clue. It is great to look back and laugh.
We were married April 10, 2003 in the Bountiful Utah temple. I remember the way Dallin kept looking at me that day as we were sealed and I will never forget the important things our sealer talked about. I really think our sealing was unlike any other and have been amazed as some things have started to happen in our lives that we were talked to about on that remarkable day!
Dallin and I from the first time we ever spent time together knew how important a family was to both of us. For us, that was the real deep connection we had from the start. This is something we both treasure above all else and have been so blessed to have such sweet children in our family. I will never forget the moment Porter was born I did not look to see the baby I looked over at Dallin to see his face and I saw as tears ran down his eyes and he kept saying how beautiful he was. My kids are not ashamed to admit that Dad is the favorite. They have so much fun with Daddy and love anything they get to do with Dad. When my kids wake up at night and don't feel good or had a bad dream it is Daddy they call for. We have spent priceless moments together as parents and we look forward to many more and a new little guy to add to the mix. I can't mention being parents without adding that I truly have the most incredible partner in this. We have been through heartache, worry, and been asked many times to give more than we knew we possibly could. I have a man by my side who faces adversity and at the same time strengthens me so I can stand. When most men crumble and run in fear Dallin has stood firm and truly enjoyed every minute we share as a family. I could not do this without him. I love you Dal!
I was thinking just the other morning how amazing it is to be with someone for five years who you still look at and they give you butterflies. When Dallin says I look beautiful I believe him because he makes me feel beautiful. When Dallin tells me he loves me I believe him because everything he does in a day shows me he loves me. When I tell Dallin my dreams he helps me achieve them. He is my biggest cheerleader and always pushes me to be the best I can. He is my Hero and someone I hope everyday to be a little more like.
Dallin and I got to take our first trip ever together this year. We had so much fun. It reminded me that dating without kids is the best! We don't get very many chances to go without them unfortunately. It was great to spend time just being with one another. Hopefully we get a chance to do it again before another five years. I will admit though we did spend time acting out our kids and laughing. We do that a lot. They are just too fun! I am so grateful to have Dallin in my life and enjoy everyday together. Happy Anniversary!
