I am so excited to tell everyone that my beautiful sister, my amazing brother in law, and their angel Paige are hoping to adopt. Their family has gone through years of infertility treatments are we are so grateful because they were able to have Paige because of it. She is such an angel. They had always felt a push to continue with infertility treatments and I am so grateful because now they have Paige, but this last year they have felt again like they needed to add to their family, but this time there has been a feeling of needing to go through adoption. I feel just like she told me a baby was coming tomorrow because I can feel that their child is coming and the right birthparents will choose Jake and Janalyn and they will find that child the Lord will direct to them. I am over the moon with excitement and my heart is just full of love for their family, and for birth parents everywhere who are searching for the right families for their sweet angels. I would love for you to look at their blog and pass it along. Most adoptions happen by spreading the word and I wanted to ask for your help in doing that.
First I wanted to tell you a little about my sister and her husband. I think it is important to know a little about who they are. I want to share a little about Jake first. There is so many wonderful things I could say about my brother in law but what I love most about him is the way he loves my sister and their daughter. They are his world and you can see it in every action he makes. Jake is such a hard worker and he is one of the lucky people who get to work in a field that is his passion. Jake loves to be outside and working, but he also loves to learn. Jake is a wonderful father. He loves how girlie his girls are and would not change a thing about them. He is patient, loving, and kind. Jake is such a great friend. When Porter was diagnosed with autism, Jake had to know more. He would ask us questions and he even read some books. He is always ready to support us, and he has always had such an open heart. He is always understanding of us and I know that if there was anything we need I can always go to Jake and Janalyn. Jake is always ready to help everyone around him. He can sense when someone may need help and he makes sure he does whatever he can. Jake has always been such a fun Uncle. The kids love to wrestle and chase Jake. He always makes up games with the kids and he laughs at all their jokes. The kids know how much he loves them and they in turn love him so much. Jake is a wonderful priesthood leader in their home. He leads their family with love and kindness and their home is full of the spirit.
Janalyn is my best friend, and my hero. My sister is beautiful in so many ways. She is always there for me, and I have always tried to be there for her. She is always my biggest cheerleader. When Porter was diagnosed she joined the first autism speaks committee here in Utah and helped plan the first walk. I wasn't even able to make it to the walk and their was my sweet sister, walking for Porter. She has always supported me and Dallin on our journey and I hope we have done enough of that for them too. We have shared a lot of the same heartache's and hard times. But we also have had our own challenges and heartache's. She strengthens me when I am down and she always believes in me. She has tremendous faith in the Lord and has always stayed close to him. I always knew she would be a wonderful wife and mother. Through all of her heartbreak with infertility she amazed me with her faith and ability to endure. She always was positive. Most of that early time she was the relief society president of two different young married wards. Both wards had many woman who were having children. I watched as what could have been heartbreaking to her, she made such a blessing. She learned that surrounding herself with children every where was her best medicine. She has always celebrated every birth and every baby. When she was pregnant with Paige she cherished every moment. She never complained. When Paige was born it was so wonderful to see her as a new Mom. She and Jake took care of every little cry and they held Paige every moment they could. I have watched as again that feeling has grown in them that they need to add to their family. I have watched as they have had to face more heartache and depend even more on the Lord. He is guiding them and he will guide the right birth parents to them. I remember when a good friend of both Janalyn's and mine had decided to adopt. My sister was so excited she cried. She then made a baby blanket and took it over to her because she told me, it was just like a pregnancy without a due date. A baby would come to their family we just didn't know when. Sure enough that sweet couple is now sealed to their sweet baby boy. I feel that same way. I know that Heavenly Father has children he wants to send to them. I know that Paige has siblings that will come to their family and I know she will be such a loving and fun sister. What a wonderful family for a wonderful child to come to. Help us spread the word by checking out their blog and then passing it on to anyone you know. You can also click on their picture on the side of my blog and it will take you to their site.
