Funny things the kids did today

I was talking with Nickelle and I told her that at night I talk with Santa on the phone and I give him an update on whether they have been naughty or nice. She got this really worried look on her face and then said "Mom, Bennett is not going to get anything for Christmas".

We were sitting at dinner and I was asking Nickelle what she wanted to study when she went to college. I told her she could study to be a doctor, lawyer, accountant, nurse, teacher, and a lot of other things. I asked her again what do you want to study. She said this completely serious "Boys!"

Again at dinner I was being silly with the kids and they kept saying really weird things so I told them that the next word that was said would be the family word for the week and then out of nowhere and really loud Bennett yells out "Bennett".

Earlier today we did a video chat with Dallin's parents. The kids all came and talked and they had left the room. We had a chance to talk with them and then Dirk (Dallin's dad) asked if he could talk to Bennett again. I walked into the kitchen to find Bennett and there he was up to his elbows (I am not exaggerating) in peanut butter. By the way he was still in his church suit.

Porter was going through the toys r us catalog and telling me how cool everything was. I asked him to tell more about a toy he was looking at and he said "mom, I don't know what it doed I just want it".

I am sure if you saw this you would have been appalled but last night we were out and we were by toys r us. The kids love to see the catalogs when they come and they had already studied the one I got in the mail. They will each look at them for a really long time. So we grabbed one for each kid. This morning Dallin had the genius idea to let them see them at sacrament meeting. I can honestly say I don't remember the last time I heard so much in church. Desperate times, desperate measures.
