Yesterday was a , terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day

It has been quite the week. But yesterday pretty much rocked. On wen night our sweet neighbor who just had a stint put in his heart came over to check out our furnace because it has not been working and we have been living by our fireplace and space heaters. We thought we had it working. It was making sounds and it looked great. On Thursday we woke up again to the house at 64 degrees and the heat should have been at 70. So the furnace is not working and I can only pray it just needs a part and not to be replaced. All week our stair railing has been getting worse and worse and yesterday it officially pulled away from the wall. So we have to buy and entire new railing and cut out stair so that it won't happen again. Also I am in charge of our ward's super saturday and trust me it is epic. I have never seen anything like it. They usually go from 7 am to 11pm. I did my best to make it a little less in intense but it has been crazy. And to top it off I don't have a committee so I have made every craft and until last week I had done everything myself. So it is next week and the phone has been ringing with last minute orders and people have been coming over like crazy and I am finalizing everything and it has just been hard to get much of anything else done. But later on Thursday I took the kids to Porter's school for the annual parade and party. We had a lot of fun and at 2:30 we went back to the car. The kids had not napped and were hammered and coming off their sugar high. I got them all loaded in the car and I went to turn the key and nothing happened. No lights, no click or anything. I was parked on the side of the road on Sunnyside in Salt Lake and if you know that area you know it is crazy. I called Dallin who had just gotten back to work from coming to the parade and told him what was up. So he drove back into Salt Lake and then jumped my car. I started driving and all the needles were going berserk and everything was crazy. So I called Dallin and I told him what was up and he told me to pull over. I did and of course the car would not start back up. We jumped it again and he looked at the car and we were pretty sure it just needed a battery. So we jumped the car and tried to drive to a place to get a new battery when the car died again not even a block from where we jumped it. So we pulled over and Dallin went to take out the battery so he could just drive to get a new one and bring it back when the metal on top which was totally corroded pulled completely off and was stuck in the metal part that fits over the battery. I know that does not make sense but anyways we spent over and hour trying to get that apart so that we could put a new battery in. Our poor kids were a mess. So then Dallin took Bennett and Porter to get a new battery. By the time everything was done and fixed we left at 6:30. When I went to get the kids out of the car Bennett had a goopie eye that looks like pink eye. So I will have to get that checked out. Moral of the story, it was a long, long day.
