The 4th of July neighborhood parade

Our neighborhood has a awesome fourth of July parade every year. It is so much fun. Everyone decorates whatever they have with wheels and we all go out together. There are lots of people who sit out and watch and cheer as you walk by and it is so much fun for the kids. After we have a fun neighborhood potluck breakfast and we have a great time getting to know our neighbors more. This year was really fun for a couple of reasons. 1. it was our second year and the kids were super excited. I do feel bad though that I did not get a chance to decorate the 4 wheelers this year before but they had fun throwing out candy. 2. We recently got some new neighbors and it was a lot of fun to get a chance to talk with them some and they were able to get to know everyone. We are a really close neighborhood. One of our new neighbors was kind enough to give out free foot massages which if you know me well at all just about sent me into a panic attack. But I think it was a great chance for them to say hi. I also was able to catch our newest neighbors on the street as they pulled up to their house for the first time. They seem great. They moved her from West Virginia, and I am excited to get to know them more and we even got them to come to our firework show that night. I hope they will feel at home here. 3. Thanks to the newest additions to the parade we had our first float. It was a great day. That afternoon we were able to go swimming with all the Spendlove family and then that night we had an awesome firework show put on by Dallin and Aaron. We had a lot of the street come to the fireworks and it was pretty fun. They are already talking of ways to make it even cooler next year. It was a fun weekend and I am so grateful for my country and for where we live. The float.

Cute April throwing candy at me. That night she and Alan went to a car show and ended up winning a convertible GTO. It was a great day for them too.

It is hard to see him but that is Chip. He is so awesome.
Dallin and the kids.
The bikes and scooters section.
It was a lot of fun. I love this tradition.

I do not have the best photography skills and then you add on that I am holding the dog on her leash and this is what you get but it is fun to watch if you want to see a neighborhhood parade.
