It is hard to believe that 7 years have gone by. 7 years ago I met my best friend. I walked into the apartment next to mine to hang out with some friends and there was Dallin. He had his backpack on because he was going to study with one of the girls from the apartment. We talked for awhile and then he left. I remember thinking he was really good looking and I was excited to find out he was in my ward. A few days later he showed up at my apartment one night and invited me to come watch a movie with my neighbors and his apartment. From that night on we spent everyday together. I asked him to a dance and that was our first date. We started dating after that. We would spend hours everyday just talking. He quickly became my best friend. We got engaged in January. I remember the day we got married I felt so calm and so peaceful. Our sealing was beautiful and the rest of the day was a blur. It is amazing to look back and think about how much I loved him then and how much I love him now. He was my best friend then and even more so now. He has been by my side through the best and worst moments of my life. He has taught me so much and through his example has taught me how to be a better person. I spent all day yesterday on our anniversary really sick and there was Dallin taking care of me. I took just a few favorite pictures I have of Dallin.
Dallin always makes me laugh. This is one of my favorite pictures from our wedding day. We have spent a lot of time laughing together. Even in the hard times.
This is one of the few pictures I have from when we dated. We had made a gingerbread trailer house.
We went on a Hawaiian cruise our first year we were married it was a lot of fun and the only trip we ever got to take before we had kids.
We had gone to Park city not too long after Bennett was born and it was so much fun.
Dallin showing Porter to the grandparents right after he was born.
I cannot even say how many pictures I have of these two doing this. My boys have always had so much fun together and had a great time. Dallin loves his kids and is a wonderful Father. They know when he comes home it is play time.
Dallin teaching Porter how to take care of Nickelle. He is so great with my girls. Even though he may not always understand why we all can be emotional he tries. Nickelle is a very emotionally person. Sometimes when she is just bawling he would take her in his arms and hold her until she is all cried out and then she is fine.
I just love this picture.
Dallin with Bennett. Bennett is so much like his Dad. They are really funny together. Dallin is great at encouraging our kids to be themselves. He gets a kick out of our kids.
Letting Bennett get chomped on by a goat. Dallin is such a tease.
Dallin cleaning Brinley, he is so gentle and loving with the kids. All of our kids have him wrapped around his finger for one reason or another. But Brinley's sweetness has Dallin wrapped around her finger and they are cute to see.
This was when I had the swine flu and we were all trying to make sure Brinley would not get sick. But at night Dallin and Brinley always fall asleep together. Every single night. Then I pick her up and take her to bed. It is super cute.
It has been a wonderful 7 years and I could not be happier. I love Dallin so much and am so glad that he choose me.
