Too funny

Last night we are all sitting at the dinner table, and Brinley was in our family room in the swing. Brinley started crying and Porter said "Ok, who a gonna be a hero? Is it you Mom, you Dad? (pause) Ok Mom you need a be a hero."

Yesterday Nickelle says to me "when I'm a little baby I growed up, and now I am cute."

A couple weeks ago Dallin's cousin Taya was watching Porter for us and he was being really naughty. So Taya told him he was being naughty, to which he replied "I not a naughty, my Mom calls me a hero."

Last night I took off Bennett"s diaper and he took off before I could put one back on. I went upstairs to quickly grab something before finishing. Dallin was outside with Porter and Nickelle and he was mowing the lawn. I came downstairs and there was Bennett standing right up next to the glass door in all his glory and he was so proud. I looked out and there was Dallin busting up.

Lately Nickelle has discovered Hannah Montana. So I let her watch it but not without watching it with her because she has to watch it with her own microphone and singing as loud as she can. The best part is when she "rocks out the show".

The other day we were having a video chat with Dal's parents and they are in North Carolina on their mission. Porter says to his Grandpa "I get on a plane and I see you". We then tell him we have to wait a little while and that it costs a lot of money to go, so we need to save, and maybe he can help earn some money. Then Porter disappears for a while and we keep talking. Then Porter comes back in with a quarter he found who knows where and says "ok, I a ready."

Bennett is the ultimate tease around here. He loves to tease everyone but mostly Porter. Porter will be laying down in front of the tv watching a show to where Bennett will walk up like nothing is going on and he will lay right on Porter and they will start wrestling. He also does this to Dallin.

Nickelle has been a little mean to Dallin lately and I could not figure out what her problem was until one day we were in the car and Nickelle and Porter were talking. Porter said to Nickelle "Bennett he my boy and Dad he my Dad". Then Nickelle says" Ok, Brinley is my baby, and Mommy is my Mommy". I then tell them that I am also Porter and Bennett's Mommy, and Daddy is also Brinley and Nickelle's Daddy. To which both kids got very upset and then Porter said "Mom you not a my Mommy, it not a same, you a Kelle Mommy". At this point I realize I have very sexist children. Dallin and I have been working on it ever since.

One day Nickelle was in the bathroom and Porter was upstairs and Porter was banging the wall. I was downstairs so I called up to him and told him he needed to stop. He of course replied "no I not a stop". Then I hear kelle's voice from the bathroom "count him Mom, count him". (I usually tell the kids they have till 3 to stop and get in time out). Thanks for the parenting advice Nickelle.

We had all my family here for the blessing and Nickelle was playing really cute with Arley. I told her she had to come upstairs really quick and get ready for church. She was upstairs with me and Arley called out to find her. She yelled back "Arley, I am just in here going potty". Arley responded "why you do that?" Nickelle then says "Because I am getting ready, because we are getting married today". Then Arley says "Okay".

Later that same day my brother in law Matt was chasing the kids with a toy dragon, Arley was running around screaming and Nickelle stood up in all her princess gear and a wand and waves her wand at Matt and says "Presto!"

Just a few of the fun moments lately in our home where someone is not crying or fighting. As much as I sometimes think there is nothing but madness around here I just sit back and think how much we get to laugh. The laughter far outweighs the rest. I love my little kiddos!
