A couple months ago Nickelle told me she wanted long bangs so we were growing them out and then one day she cut them. So I trimmed them. They were just starting to look really cute again when I found her in the bathroom with her bangs completely chopped again but this time it was tons of them. So I straightened them as best as I could but they are so short. She also cut some hair from the back just as short as well. We sat down and had a conversation that her hair was mine until she was 18 and the only who was going to cut or tell someone else to cut it was me. Hey Jan and Kersten does this sound at all familiar. We used to hear this all the time from our Mom. It also included our ears and any other part of our body and what clothes we wore. She cried and cried which reminded me of a story of my older sister Janalyn. One day she was sitting on her bed just sobbing and my Mom came in asking what was wrong. Janalyn proceded to say "when are you going to let me do what I want with my hair?". She was six. Nickelle in many ways reminds me of a little Janalyn. I am doing my best to keep all scissors away from her, so here's hoping no more hair cuts.

fun pictures, season. nickelle's still cute! and i love that you can see her artwork behind her. :)
Oh Nickelle, you are so naughty! :) Give you mom a break. Although, I have to admit that those pictures are very good. I could even tell the butterfly before you mentioned it. Ashlyn still just scribbles. No artist in her. . .
She still look so cute! If she turns out like Jan... I think that is wonderful. Love Her!
Good luck with that... I haven't had that problem because I buzz my boys hair for them. I loved the addage about Janalyn.
That is so cute. I love the story about Jan. I think her hair is cute anyway.
Why do all little girls cut their hair at least once?
What a stinker...but she is just so dang cute!! Hope things are going well!
Yeah, I used 7 different fabrics on the main quilt and 7 for the flowers. It took me FOREVER to figure this out and I have no idea what I did because I had to run back to the store a few times and get more fabric (I didn't use a pattern cuz I had in my mind what I wanted... stupid of me). But the quilt I made is for a twin bed- and fits a little big. ITS A HUGE RAG QUILT. I think I would have enjoyed doing it more if it was smaller . . . but it did turn out cute.
