Why now I am hoping not to have a baby!

That sounds crazy I know, especially from someone who is 9 months pregnant. A few days ago I was ready to go then I started noticing Nickelle was acting a little off. She was having a little fever and was really more than normal moody. I kept thinking oh well she is getting her two year molars. So I have been giving her tylenol and oral gel. Still she has been really moody and every once in a while saying "hurts, Mommy". I have searched the child over not knowing what could be hurting her and I found nothing. Then two days ago I notice a little rash on her arms and hands and I think that is weird. But Nickelle has insane dry skin and she rashes very easy her skin is incredibly sensitive. So I cake her with Aquaphor and send her to bed. Now I notice no more fever but she still is moody so I keep up the oral gel. I also notice the rash is a little more spread now on the tops of her feet and the outside of her mouth. Dallin says to me maybe it is chicken pox. Then I start freaking out looking up pictures of pox and see that is not what she has but I decide the safest thing is to get it looked at just in case. Plus I am about to have a baby any day now I want to make sure my kids are healthy. So I take her in and the doctor tells me it is hands, foot, and mouth disease. It starts with a few days of fever and then suddenly a rash appears which is actually lesions that are incredibly painful. Which explains the moods. He tells me that it hurts worse inside her mouth which makes sense because I was noticing she was eating a lot less for her normal amount. (For those of you who do not know, this little lady packs it in). Before I went in to the doctors office Porter was feeling a little warm and was acting a little funny so I kept him at home with my sister. When I leave my sister tells me he has a pretty bad fever. You guessed it, he is getting it. Apparently I am not at a risk for the infection but if my baby was born right now he would be which could mean for a lot of problems mainly dehydration etc... So I am told to keep my children away from the baby as long as the kids have lesions. Then he told me those could last up to two weeks.  So I am really hoping the kids get better really fast because I am supposed to be getting induced in a couple of days. This could be interesting. Anyways as a warning to all you parents out there it is hands, foot, and mouth disease season so whenever you kids are with other kids like nursery make sure they are washing their hands and not sharing drinks or sticking toys in their mouths. I wish I would have had the heads up!

I can't believe all of the stress you must be under. I hope the kids start feeling better soon - and make sure you don't catch it - I've heard it is pretty contagious. Good luck with the new baby - we can't wait for the good news.
