Our little guy was born April 21st at 6:48 p.m. He was 6 lbs and 11 oz, and 20 inches long. He is a very cute red head. Nickelle's hair was more strawberry blonde when she was born and his is a little more auburn. He has more hair than both Porter and Nickelle did but I am sure he will loose it all as my kids tend to do so enjoy the pictures this cute stuff will leave.
My labor was wonderful. It started with yet another scare with my fluid levels and then we decided to stop taking chances and just get induced. Dallin was still at work so I went straight to the hospital by myself and immediately they got the ball rolling. That was at 3:00 p.m. I was already contracting and had gone in at 4cm. So once I had the pitocin I started contracting every 2 minutes within a few minutes. My doctor came up 15 min later and broke my water. Then I was really going in gear. At five I had my epidural and Dallin arrived shortly before that. At that point I was a 5. Then I started to feel pressure and I knew I was a 10 so I asked Dallin when they were going to check me. Not to long after that the nurse came in and sure enough I was ready to go. So we just waited for the doctor to come in and then I half pushed and he was here. I did not even have to push a full big push. So to say this was a easy labor is the understatement of a lifetime. This was awesome. The only complication the baby has had was that the cord was really tight around his neck and was causing his heartrate to decline some when I was contracting. Luckily he was born quickly and all was well. It did give him a couple minutes of a struggle to get breathing really great. But they helped him for about 5 minutes and he has been fine ever since.
He is a mellow baby so far and does not cry much at all. He barely even whined when he was born. He is adorable and looks just like his Daddy. We are sure in love with this little man.
