Porter Update!

The appointment went wonderful with the neuro this week and gratefully the testing showed us exactly what we needed to see. So once again prayers were answered in our behalf and we have more knowledge to be able to help Porter with. It is really complicated to explain it all so I will just tell a couple things. Porter has some markings on his brain that indicated what we have been seeing and that is that he is having seizures and they are making it incredibly difficult for his progress. With the right medication we should be able to help him quite a bit. We may not be able to ever completely stop what is happening but we should help him improve quite a bit. Also we were able to find out why the medication he is on is not working. To sum up he is having a different kind of seizure that we have been treating him for. So the new treatment should be much more effective. It was incredibly helpful and a lot to take in. I would be lying if I didn't say it is a little scary to meet with a neuro and talk about challenges in your son's brain but it is so good to know we can help him and I love that. So again many thanks for prayers and thoughts in our behalf. We may not always have the perfect package of everything we need for Porter but at the same time the Lord has made available to all of us some wonderful opportunities to help him that truly in my mind are mighty miracles!
