Baby Bennett update!

I had a interesting thing happen this last week. Dallin had left on Sunday for Florida and so it was just me with the kids. I think it was causing me to REALLY overdo it because Tuesday night I had the worst false labor of my life. Trust me I have experienced some pretty bad stuff. I have been progressively having more and more contractions and false labor the last couple months and frequently hear the forbidden phrase bed rest from my doctor but luckily she has held off. But I went into the doctor first thing Wednesday morning and the first thing out of her mouth was "that's it you are on bed rest". They had put me on some medication the month before that stops your labor but I am still contracting through it. So she was really worried. So they started doing all the fun tests they do to make sure the baby is fine. I spent about 40 minutes having them monitor and do a stress test on the baby. That was scary because we could see with my contractions his heart rate would really increase and that is not what we want. So then they decided to do a ultra sound and we were able to see he was reacting much better to my contractions that we thought. We also discovered he has a TON of hair. It was really long and we could see it moving with his cute little head. He is looking good and measuring good. Also we were able to see my cervix is still good and thick and not to the automatic bed rest line. So as long as I can keep that up I am not on full bed rest. But for now I am on partial bed rest and that means I have to take it as easy as possible. Which this week has been really crazy because Kevin got married and that required a lot of me being on the go. But I got through the week and I am doing ok. I am still contracting a lot and it is getting really difficult to cope through them but I am hoping to see if I could get these to mellow out more. It was great to know that the baby is still doing good even though I am doing all this. I have another appointment next week and we will continue to monitor the baby very closely and I will try to take it more easy these next couple weeks.

Oh no Seas...I'm sorry to hear that you've had a stressful week...and withOUT Dallin it sounds like?!?!? I hope he comes home soon if he's not back already! Hopefully little Bennett will hold his horses for a couple more months! :) Take it easy and take care of yourself just as much as you are taking care of everyone else!! I know...easier said than done! ;) Good Luck!
