My amazing wonderful sister Janalyn found out that they are trying to open a chapter of Autism Speaks right there in Utah. This would provide local research on Autism as well as many more resources for families. Utah and Idaho are some of the lowest states in regards to things available for families with Autism in the country. This would be a huge benefit. As many of you know my son Porter was diagnosed with Autism in April of this year. This has been an incredible journey and at times extremely heartbreaking knowing the limited resources available to us. They are having a walk a ton May 3rd 2008. If I was not due 3 days later you can bet I would be out there walking but since I can't I thought I would pass out the information to anyone else interested. Here is the site with all the information
